The Ras Al Khor Nature Reserve is a unique wetland of unspoiled wilderness; it is the world’s biggest private sanctuary within a city, surrounded by some of the most modern urban infrastructures. Working like the lungs of Dubai Creek and purifying the air and the water of the area, the wetland helps to oxygenate the city. Holding more than 20,000 birds of 67 species, including the renowned greater flamingo that steals the show in its abundant numbers in winter.
